COMMERCIAL WARRANTY

To the Original Purchaser with Proof of Purchase

FRAME

5 year limited warranty on frames from the date of original purchase. If your frame fails structurally during normal use and regular maintenance, WDG will repair or replace the frame with the same product at no charge. If the product has been discontinued, a similar item will be used. This includes parts, labor and shipping during the first 12 months.

FRAME FINISH

5 year limited warranty on the frame finish from the date of original purchase. If the finish peels, cracks or blisters due to manufacturing defect, WDG will repair, refinish or replace the damaged finish. This includes parts, labor and shipping during the first 12 months. NOTE: Glide replacement is a necessary function in maintaining the furniture and should be accomplished on an annual basis, or more frequently, depending on the level of usage. WDG
recommends a quarterly inspection of the glides to insure maximum longevity of your frames and finish.
These glides can be purchased from Windward Design.

VINYL STRAPS

Windward warrants vinyl straps for 5 years against breakage. This applies only to breakage, not color change.
WDG warrants against abnormal discoloration for 1 year if normal cleaning, care and maintenance are provided.
In the event that a strap is grossly discolored, Windward will supply a replacement strap at no charge, shipping
included for up to 1 year. Strap replacement due to discoloration is subject to the vinyl supplier’s discretion.

SLINGS, CUSHIONS, UMBRELLAS AND TABLE TOPS

Windward warrants the fabrics and workmanship on slings, cushions and umbrellas for 1 year from the date of
purchase. Acrylic and fiberglass tabletops are warranted against bowing or warping, glass and acrylic tops with
umbrella holes are excluded. Labor not included, but shipping is included for up to 1 year from the date of purchase.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED UNDER OUR COMMERCIAL WARRANTY

• Plastic, nylon & fiberglass parts.
• Fiberglass, acrylic, mosaic, stone, faux stone, or glass tops.
• Failure caused by unreasonable or abusive use.
• Bursting or cracking of frames due to exposure of freezing temperatures.
• Failure caused by neglecting to provide proper care and maintenance, which includes cleaning with a mild
detergent. Vinyl straps and slings should be cleaned monthly with a mild detergent, rinsed and dried thoroughly.
• Stains or discoloration of vinyl straps, mesh fabrics and cushion materials due to contact with dyes from wet clothing, chemicals, suntan and sun block products.
• Scratching or chipping of the powder paint finishes due to abuse. Some touch-up colors are available from
Windward Design.
• Damage caused by fire, freight damage or acts of nature.
• Any or all shipping costs regarding the Windward Limited Warranty after 1 year.

 

RETURNED GOODS AUTHORIZATION

CAREFULLY INSPECT ALL BOXES OR CARTONS BEFORE ACCEPTING OR SIGNING RECEIPTS FROM CARRIER. COUNT THE ITEMS AND SIGN ONLY FOR THE NUMBER OF ITEMS COUNTED AND ACCEPTED. CLAIMS FOR FREIGHT DAMAGE MUST BE HANDLED BETWEEN THE CONSIGNEE AND THE FREIGHT COMPANY. WINDWARD WILL NOT ACCEPT RETURNED GOODS WITHOUT PRIOR WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION.

 

CONCEALED DAMAGE

To minimize problems we recommend that all products be unpacked within 48 hours of receipt. After unpacking the product, if damage is found, notify the carrier’s agent immediately to inspect the merchandise. Save all cartons and packing materials. The agent is required to issue a “concealed damage” report. All claims must be made with the
carrier, however Windward will render all possible assistance in settling claims.



 

RESIDENTIAL WARRANTY

To the Original Purchaser with Proof of Purchase

FRAME

Windward Design warrantees all frames against defects in materials and workmanship for fifteen (15) years from date of original purchase. This includes breakage or structural failure occurring during normal usage.

FRAME FINISH

Warranted for fifteen (15) years against cracking, peeling, or blistering. Not covered is damage caused by the use of abrasive cleaners, bleach or other harmful chemicals. Natural fading and wear and tear from normal usage is expected and is not covered by this warranty.

VINYL STRAPS

Warranted for three (3) years against breakage or rivets pulling out. Not covered is damage resulting from suntan lotions, bleach or other solvents or strong chemicals, or the natural fading and normal wear and tear.

SLINGS, CUSHIONS, UMBRELLAS AND TABLE TOPS

Warranted for one (1) year from date of purchase against manufacturing defects. Fading and or stretching resulting from normal wear and tear are not covered by this warranty.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED UNDER OUR RESIDENTIAL WARRANTY

The warranty does not cover and is void if the failure of furniture is caused by fire, freight damage, acts of nature (such as but not limited to freezing, high winds or animal defecation), commercial use, suntan oil or other chemicals, unreasonable or abusive use, normal wear and tear, mildew, or fading of fabric, paint or straps. Plastic, nylon, and fiberglass parts are not covered by this warranty. Fiberglass, acrylic, mosiac, stone, faux stone or glass tops are also not covered. Repairs made by parties other than authorized Windward Design personnel will also void this warranty.

REPAIRS AND RETURNS

Purchaser should inspect shipment at time of delivery and note any damage on the bill of lading or delivery receipt. No claim by purchaser shall be valid unless notice thereof, in writing, is received by seller within ten (10) days after purchaser’s receipt of the merchandise. Seller will not accept return merchandise without prior written permission from seller. Windward Design reserves the right to repair or replace merchandise at its own discretion. Service for authorized returns will be provided by our manufacturing facility in Florida. Freight charges will be paid by Windward Design for one (1) year from date of purchase - proof of purchase is required. Customer will be responsible for freight after one (1) year from date of purchase.

TO OBTAIN SERVICE

Should you encounter a problem or require additional information, contact the dealer from which the product was purchased or your nearest Windward Design retailer. Original proof of purchase must be presented for all warranty claims. A photograph may be necessary.
